But what was the order of results? We all had to wait to find out as Ruth Fletcher the contest chair held all present in suspense for a while. Why? Since, there were two welcomed guests present, she was midway enthusiastically explained the difference between today contest and our regular Toastmasters meetings to them. Hence it was with built up expectation that the following results were announced:
2nd Hazel Bidmead
1st Peter Scholtens
3rd Chris Ashley
Both Peter and Hazel came 1st and 2nd last year as well! Which just goes to show their consistent powers of high performance communication under the pressure of contests.
